One in Two Norwegian Motorists Now Empowered by Electric Mobility

According to a new survey conducted by InFact on behalf of the Norwegian EV Association, half of all motorists in Norway now report having an electric vehicle (EV) available to them. Specifically, 50.5 percent of respondents confirmed they have an EV in their garage, a figure that highlights the rapid pace of the transition. While official registration data from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration shows that EVs make up 32 percent of the total passenger car fleet, this survey captures the reality of the household experience. The discrepancy is explained by the fact that many families share a single EV or operate a dual-car household where one vehicle is electric. 'It is gratifying to see that so many have embraced electric mobility,' Bu stated. 'Increasing oil prices demonstrate that by transitioning to EVs, we avoid being dependent on expensive, imported fossil fuels.
