Even with 160,000 more electric vehicles hitting Norwegian roads over the past year, EV drivers are experiencing fewer charging queues than ever before. A comprehensive survey reveals that 58 percent of EV drivers who used fast-chargers over the past twelve months rarely or never encountered a queue. Only a marginal 5 percent reported frequent waiting times. Christina Bu, Secretary General of the Norwegian EV Association, highlights how crucial this is for the seasonal migration of drivers. "Many EV owners charge heavily during the summer months, and shorter queues mean you reach your destination faster. Nobody wants to spend their holiday waiting in line," she says. In 2022, 22 percent of drivers reported their longest wait time to be between 20 and 40 minutes. Today, that figure has dropped to just 14 percent.
